Appartengo a quella Generazione che chiamano X, nato nella frattura tra due mondi e cresciuto nell’intervallo in cui le certezze si sgretolano. Da un lato il mondo ancora solido della modernità, con istituzioni che pretendevano obbedienza e ideologie che si credevano eterne; dall’altro il mondo che emergeva dal loro crollo, dove le narrazioni si dissolvono, il digitale e la scienza quantistica frantumano il tempo e la libertà torna a essere domanda, non struttura.
È in questa soglia — tra un ordine che si spegneva e un altro che non aveva ancora nome — che si è formata la mia coscienza politica e spirituale.
Tre motti scandiscono il mio cammino.
Intelligere ad libertatem significa che la conoscenza è un atto di liberazione dell’anima: vedere davvero è sciogliere ciò che imprigiona, attraversare le apparenze e tornare alla sorgente. Comprendere diventa allora un movimento interiore: la luce che si accende dentro libera più di qualunque potere esterno.
“Cor ad cor loquitur”, motto di John Henry Newman, significa in poche parole che la verità passa da un cuore all’altro: ciò che è autentico si comunica attraverso una presenza viva, non solo attraverso idee.
“Io sono io e la mia circostanza: se non salvo questa, non salvo neppure me stesso”, frase di Ortega y Gasset; la libertà non è evasione, ma prendersi cura del mondo che ci è dato, perché è nella nostra circostanza che si gioca la nostra stessa salvezza.
La libertà è il mio principio: non concessione né identità, ma una forza spirituale che precede ogni potere. È dell’eterno, perché non nasce dal mondo pur attraversandolo. È l’atto con cui l’essere umano dischiude ciò che nessun dominio può contenere.

I belong to that generation they call Generation X, born in the fracture between two worlds and raised in the interval in which certainties crumbled. On one side stood the still‑solid world of modernity, with institutions that demanded obedience and ideologies that believed themselves eternal; on the other, the world emerging from their collapse, where narratives dissolved, the digital realm and quantum science shattered time, and freedom returned to being a question rather than a structure. Three mottos mark my path. Freedom is my principle: not concession nor identity, but a spiritual force that precedes every form of power. It belongs to the eternal, for it does not arise from the world, though it moves through it.

Intelligere ad libertatem significa tornare alla sorgente. La libertà non nasce dallo Stato, né dalle sue leggi mutevoli: lo precede, lo giudica, lo orienta. È un dono spirituale, un sigillo dell’Eterno impresso nell’uomo. Non appartiene al potere, ma alla dimensione più alta dell’essere; non è concessione, ma eredità. Ogni politica che la riduce a strumento amministrativo tradisce la sua natura; ogni comunità che la dimentica smarrisce la propria vocazione…
